Lemons and Peppers as an Apotropaion
in an Indian Restaurant in Philadelphia
3

I spotted this amulet in the doorway of an Indian restaurant in West Philly. It combines two common apotropaions, hot peppers and a lemon, just like the one in file ind002, only not nearly as fresh. This one looks a bit old, dried up and somewhat dust covered. It appears to be rigged with a black shoelace.

A newer version, found years later at the same restaurant, is featured as file ind005
